The Art of Aging

I've been learning a jazz vocal here in Toky since last month Yesterday I had a lesson and learned something wonderful. That is "It's great to be different." In　Germany , I belonged to the women's choir and was singing many differnt genres of music. But I am afraid I was singing in a group and we were supposed to sing in the same way as others. BUT　now in my jazz vocal lesson, it is quite all right to sing differently. You can sing　with your own rhythm and tune as long as you feel comfortable. We sang "the days of wine and roses," and "flying me to the moon"　yesterday.　Wow, what a wonderful feeling to sing in your own way!!!

Now I am listening to the "Sakura jazz" played by only musical instruments including the songs such as "Yell"sung by Ikimonogakari, "Sakura"by Ketsumeishi". and so on. All the music are arranged in a Jazz way. These songs sound entirely different from the original versions. AND I feel great with that sound.

The same music can be quite different when it is sung by different persons or in different ways.
That will create a wonderfrul world, which is very special.

本当に同じ曲でもこんなに違うなんて驚きます。今、聞いている曲は、すべてjazz風にアレンジされています。Jazz の大好きな私にとって、日本のsinger たちのお気に入りの曲が、こんなに楽しめるなんて、最高の気分です。これは、人にもいえると思います。それぞれみんなが、違うことによって、それぞれが最高に輝いていられると思うのです。そして、素敵につながっていくと。
